Hello! I’m so happy you are here.
I desire to meet clients wherever they find themselves in life. I’m a licensed social worker and have my Bachelors and Masters in Social Work from Marshall University. I am currently working on my graduate social work license to switch from a counseling intern to a therapist at Graceway. I’ve worked with youth for the past 2 years who have experienced self-harm, suicidal ideation, physical abuse, sexual abuse, grief / loss, depression, anxiety, relational issues, racism, discrimination, trauma, self-worth, eating disorders, and/or more. I’ve also worked with adults who have experienced grief / loss, sexual abuse, anxiety, trauma, racism, relational issues, work-related stress, and/or more. When I meet with clients, I strive for every person to feel safe, heard, seen, and welcomed as they are. Pain and emotions are real and must be worked through to experience healing. It can be helpful to have someone walk alongside you through these lived experiences. It is always an honor to sit with clients in their vulnerability, honesty, and sincerity. I do not take it for granted when clients choose to share any part of their story with me. I utilize and integrate aspects of Motivational Interviewing, Strengths Based Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-centered Therapy and Mindfulness into my therapy sessions. I desire to meet clients with gentleness, compassion, an open mind, and a non-judgemental space. I would love to talk with you if any of this resonates 🙂 When I am not providing therapy, I love to go on walks in the sunshine, eat all of the gluten free food, snacks, and desserts, and spend time with my husband, friends, and family. I am a member of my local church and have been for around 7 years.
